Support JCC Greater Boston
The JCC engages more Jews and the people in their lives than almost every other Jewish institution in Boston combined.
When you support the JCC, you help give us the resources to create exceptional programs that serve and sustain a thriving Jewish community…today and for the future.
About Ways to Give
While 80% of our operating budget comes from revenue from programs such as Leventhal-Sidman JCC membership; ELC and Camp tuition; class and program fees; and grants; we rely on annual contributions from generous donors in our community to help make us whole. A gift can be made any time of year to help support the enriching and important programs offered at JCC Greater Boston. You can direct us to apply your gift where it’s needed most, or you may choose a specific program that matches your philanthropic interests. You can make a one-time donation or a recurring monthly gift.

Capital Improvements for Camp Grossman and Kaleidoscope
While camp tuition covers most of our operating costs, we have exciting plans to improve the physical environment of our camps. Donors like you are the champions of our camps, and your generous gifts have helped to upgrade and enhance our physical spaces.
Our greatest need at Camp Grossman is to replace eight aging bunk/unit buildings. We envision pavilions where the first floor has an open program space and is fully accessible for children of all abilities, and a second floor with a multi-purpose space for music, dance, and camp-wide indoor activities. We are also looking to update common spaces at camp, including the amphitheater and playing fields. While we continue to explore larger projects, we have secured a grant (with a 2:1 match) to replace our aging Junior Village rock wall, and we will be looking for donors to help us leverage this generous match.
As we increase the number and quality of programs that we offer, we are looking to continue to enhance our space by outfitting the pavilion classrooms with cabinets, shelves, and science equipment. We plan to upgrade our theater systems to further enhance audience and performer experiences with new lighting, curtains, and climate control.
Tribute gifts can be used to remember or to honor a special person. With your donation, we will send a card to the individual or family you wish to notify, acknowledging your gift in their honor or memory.
A gift made to the JCC Greater Boston Endowment Fund is to be preserved for the future, generating income in perpetuity and accruing interest to grow principal and/or to fund ongoing operating needs.
There are many ways to fund your endowment:
- Bequests — through a will, trust or retirement account.
- Life income gifts — such as charitable gifts, annuities and charitable remainder trusts.
- Life Insurance Policy — tax-deductible premium payments on a new or existing life insurance policy are a fraction of the full face value of the policy, and a great way to leverage your funds. This can allow for a larger gift in the future than you might have thought possible.

Securing Our Future Capital Campaign
We are thrilled to launch our Securing our Future Campaign, with a goal of raising $6 million. Donors have the opportunity to invest in the future of the JCC. This renovation is an investment in the vitality of our Jewish community, playing a critical role in the lives of our families.
Securing Our Future will invest in our most precious resources: our staff, the security of our facilities and programs, and our ability to gather, learn and grow. The special funds outlined below are essential in allowing JCC Greater Boston to thrive and strengthen in the months and years ahead.
Lobby, Security, and Community Gathering Space Fund
Through generous philanthropic gifts, JCC Greater Boston recently renovated our facilities, namely the fitness center, locker rooms, and family wing, and unified our programs into a gateway that fortifies Jewish identity by reconnecting with and re-engaging younger generations of Jews.
Looking forward, JCC Greater Boston will further renovate the Leventhal-Sidman JCC lobby and gathering space. In this renovation, we seek to create a strong sense of comfort and belonging so that everyone who enters the JCC feels welcome, safe, and connected to their Jewish identity and community for years to come.
Through this important renovation, JCC Greater Boston will create an enhanced environment for all members and staff, increasing gathering spaces and enhancing opportunities for members to connect with each other and the community. The building changes will improve security and streamline access procedures.
