Optimize your post-workout routine with the help of our all-new Recovery program! Research shows that recovery is just as important as exercise for your fitness journey, with the ability to reduce inflammation, soreness and lactic acid build-up in your body as well as your risk of injury.

What is PNF?

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) is a stretching technique to increase flexibility and range of motion. InBody 570 Composition Analysis Available

Unlock your true physical potential! Used by professional athletes to fine-tune their fitness regimens, our new, state-of-the-art measurement tool does more than measure your weight, height, and BMI.

Using an accurate body composition method called bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), it can provide you with a detailed breakdown of your physical health, including:

  • Muscle Mass
  • Body Fat Percentage (a more accurate indication of body fat than BMI)
  • Total Body Water
  • Segmental Limb Analysis

    Please Note: Personal training sessions are available to members only.

    Payment must be made in full prior to session. Pricing is subject to change. 24 hour notice is required for cancellation of a session. Full session cost will apply for no-show appointments or for cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice given. All personal training sales are non-refundable. Sessions expire one year from date of purchase.

    Todd Helmbrecht

    Senior Director, Health & Wellness Programs

    With a lifelong passion for fitness and wellness, Todd brings a wealth of experience to our community. He comes to us after successfully owning his own management consulting firm and as the owner of an Amazon package delivery company, overseeing a large team and achieving substantial growth. Before diving into entrepreneurship, Todd dedicated 25 years to corporate strategy and marketing roles within esteemed global organizations. His journey has been marked by a commitment to excellence and a drive for continuous improvement. In addition to his professional achievements, Todd's personal background as a Division 1 college wrestler and his coaching role at the local high school in Lexington underscore his dedication to physical wellness and community involvement. He holds undergraduate degrees in Finance and Marketing, as well as an MBA from Boston University.

    Annie Rotman

    Fitness Director

    Annie serves as the JCC Fitness Director. She is also an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, working directly with members to build strength, confidence, and sustainable healthy habits. She loves building relationships with our members and being part of the JCC community. She grew up at the JCC, attended preschool here, and has been part of the Health & Wellness Department since 2022. In her free time, she enjoys HIIT, strength training, and spending time with her niece and nephews.

    Fitness Engagement & Retention Manager

    Jessie serves as the Fitness Engagement & Retention Manager. She is also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and a PN1 Certified Nutrition Coach. She believes that strength training is important for everyone, regardless of age and fitness level. She believes in consistency and small incremental changes to fuel growth. Jessie loves meeting with new members to get them started on their fitness journey!

    Personal Trainer

    Bryan has been a personal trainer and coach since 1990. He has developed a unique approach to the aging process that nurtures, challenges, and supports clients as they work toward their full potential. He holds a bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology and a master's degree in Gerontology, informing a whole-person perspective that considers each client's physical, mental, and practical needs. Bryan's approach is grounded in three core tenets: safety as a foundation, functional movement for everyday life, and a growth mindset at any age.

    Marianne is a seasoned fitness professional bringing nearly five decades of strength training and wellness expertise to her clients and has been a part of the JCC since 2019. As a personal trainer and wellness coach, she practices a holistic approach to movement, believing that true vitality flows from the synergy of mind, body, and spirit. Marianne looks at the big picture of a healthy lifestyle — integrating physical strength, nutrition, sleep, and stress management to create bespoke fitness plans to help her clients feel grounded and empowered. As an ISSA Master Trainer, Marianne holds a comprehensive suite of certifications that enable her clients to move with greater ease, build lasting strength, and enjoy a higher quality of life: Corrective Exercise Specialist, Strength & Conditioning, Sports Nutrition, Senior, Youth & Group Fitness and Rock Steady Boxing.

    Jen Davis

    Personal Trainer / Group Fitness Instructor / JCCGB+ Instructor

    Jen is a dedicated personal trainer who has been inspiring members and leading group exercise classes at the JCC since 2005. She is ACE and TRX certified and has been an integral part of our Parkinson’s Programming since day one. Jen is passionate about helping clients reach their goals through strength training, consistency, and a positive mindset. She also brings the discipline of an experienced marathon runner, having completed 11 marathons, the most recent one with both her daughters. Jen is here to support and help you achieve your goals.

    Jeannine Guillaume

    Personal Trainer

    Jeannine has been teaching group fitness and training clients since 2007. She holds multiple certifications from AAAI/ISMA including Personal Training Levels 1, 2, and 3, Older Adult Fitness, and Mat Pilates, and has completed additional training in FMS Level 1, Fascial Fitness, and DVRT Level 1. Jeannine specializes in functional movement and whole-body integrated conditioning, working with clients of all ages and fitness levels to help them understand how their bodies work in systems rather than isolation. Her goal is to teach not just the exercises, but the intention behind them.

    Personal Trainer

    Joan has been a Personal Trainer at the JCC for 27 years. She holds certifications from AFAA and FRA in aerobics and personal training, as well as certifications in Spinning®, group fitness, and TRX. Joan works with a variety of clients across all age groups, customizing workouts depending on individual needs and abilities. Joan has completed 15 marathons and over 25 half marathons. During her free time she enjoys walking her two dogs, traveling, reading and spending time with her family.

    Personal Trainer

    Ana brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as a personal trainer. She holds a personal training certification through AAFA and a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and Nursing. Ana is also a Registered Nurse at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She has a passion for fitness and living a healthy lifestyle. Ana has played soccer and basketball her whole life, including basketball at the collegiate level. She also enjoys cycling, hiking, and strength training.

    Personal Trainer

    Jimmy is an ACSM and NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and Exercise Physiologist with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. He works with clients of all ages, designing safe and effective training programs tailored to individual goals. Jimmy specializes in strength, wellness, injury prevention, and recovery.

    Personal Trainer

    Justin has been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2007 and is certified through National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He specializes in helping clients incorporate fitness into their everyday routines in a way that fits their individual lifestyles. Justin also ran track while earning his degree in Health and Human Performance from Roanoke College in Virginia.

    Personal Trainer

    Linnea is a certified Athletic Trainer, Wellness Coach, and Physical Education Teacher with personal training certifications from AAAI/ISM and ACTION. She holds a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and a graduate degree in Nutrition Sciences, and brings extensive experience providing nutrition services and designing training programs for clients of all ages and levels. Linnea has spent years coaching high school cross-country and track & field, and is an accomplished distance runner herself, having completed more than 20 marathons and more than 20 ultramarathons.

    Personal Trainer / Group Fitness Instructor / JCCGB+ Instructor

    John is certified in Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning (MBSC) and BoneFit™ through the Bone Health & Osteoporosis Foundation. After a successful career in high-tech, he followed his passion for fitness and became a certified personal trainer and yoga instructor. He has experience leading High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and bootcamp classes, as well as coaching basketball. John enjoys lifting weights, practicing yoga, and playing basketball in his free time. Outside the gym, he stays active with snowboarding, mountain biking, and hiking.

Jiwen is dedicated to helping clients move better, feel stronger, and reach their full fitness potential.

    Margarita is a certified Personal Trainer with a degree in Physical Education and experience working with clients of all ages. She specializes in core strengthening, stability, flexibility, balance, and functional training. A decorated athlete, Margarita was a rowing World Champion in women's doubles representing the USSR in 1981, and holds the Masters 40+ age group record in the single at the Head of the Charles Regatta.

    Alex Glover is a certified personal trainer who is passionate about making fitness both fun and effective. As a professional West Coast Swing dancer, Alex has a deep appreciation for technique, firmly believing that attention to the smallest details can yield the most significant impact. Alex's preferred training method combines isolation movements with strength and balance training, offering a comprehensive approach to physical wellness.

    Group Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer

    Stacey is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor with 8 years of group training experience. She believes that fitness goals can be achieved with the correct mindset and by maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She has made fitness a part of her everyday routine and enjoys running outside and HIIT training. She firmly believes that working out is not a “one size fits all” approach and will help you reach your fitness goals by tailoring your fitness journey to you. Stacey lives in Needham with her two daughters.

    Group Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer

    Josh has been a fitness instructor and personal trainer in the greater Boston area for over 23 years. He is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer who came to fitness through a lifelong love of martial arts and boxing. Josh works with clients across all fitness levels using a variety of modalities including kettlebells, free weights, TRX, and boxing. He has put his passion for fitness to good use outside the gym as well -- running the Boston Marathon with Team in Training to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and boxing for charity with Haymakers for Hope in 2014. A Wellesley native and film school graduate, Josh enjoys movies and spending time with his two sons.

    Nick's passion for strength training began on the high school football field and deepened through his own 100-pound weight loss journey in college. Before becoming a trainer, he spent six years as a fitness photographer working alongside fitness professionals — an experience that ultimately inspired him to pursue the career himself. Nick has been a NASM Certified Personal Trainer since 2022 and works with a range of clients, from everyday individuals looking to get stronger and move better, to competitive athletes. Outside the gym, he enjoys golfing and watching sports.

    Personal Trainer

    Luca is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer who has been passionate about fitness since his college days, when he discovered a love for weightlifting after playing high school football. He graduated from Lasell University in 2022 with a degree in Sport Management and a minor in Coaching, and earned his NASM certification in 2024. Luca enjoys working with clients of all levels and backgrounds, helping them build strength and reach their personal fitness goals. Outside the gym, he loves playing golf and watching football with friends.

    Personal Trainer

    Diego has been a personal trainer and group fitness specialist for over seven years and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. He specializes in functional strength, cardiovascular health, and mobility, with a primary focus on improving the healthspan of adults aged 45 and older. Diego works with clients across a broad spectrum of physical needs, from those navigating post-rehabilitation and post-surgical recovery to athletes preparing for high-demand goals like mountaineering, obstacle course racing, and military fitness standards. Outside the gym, he practices martial arts and leads trekking expeditions in New England, Colorado, and Patagonia.

    Jean Turcotte

    Personal Trainer

    Jean Turcotte holds a BA in Psychology and a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work with which she practiced as an individual, family and group therapist for 15 years. At the same time she began her practice in Group Exercise and Personal Training. Jean is certified by NASM, ISMA, and AFAA in Group Exercise, Personal Training and Fitness Nutrition. She has an advanced certification in Functional Movement. from the Gray Institute. For over 30 years Jean has led fun, safe and effective exercise programs, classes and personal training sessions as well as nutritional consultations and life coaching. Jean’s newest passion is Life and Health Coaching.

    Pursuing her passion for helping people to look at their “Whole Self” in order to achieve wellness goals, Jean continued her training at the Health Coach Institute for a certification In Habit Change Coaching. Combined with her background in psychology, fitness and nutrition, Jean guides people to overcome obstacles towards happiness in all areas of life. Jean lives in Newton, has 2 grown children and daughter in-law in the area, and her greatest joy; her 2 year old granddaughter. Jean loves, outdoor sports, healthy cooking and summer vacations!
