Improve your strength, stability, and movement quality with Dynamic Variable Resistance Training (DVRT), a progressive training method that teaches the body to work as one integrated system. This program uses Ultimate Sandbags as the primary training tool, along with kettlebells and resistance bands, to build functional strength through movement in all planes of motion. Participants will learn how muscles connect to create power and control, developing balance, coordination, and resilience without relying on simply adding heavier weight. Progressions are introduced through changes in stance, grip, and movement patterns, emphasizing proper form, alignment, and body awareness. Barefoot training is encouraged to enhance foot-to-floor connection and overall stability. This program is suitable for a wide range of fitness levels.
This program meets Saturdays, April 4– May 9, with a make-up session scheduled for Saturday, May 16. If you are unable to attend all six sessions, please email arotman@jccgb.org—we’re happy to work with you on available options.
Cost: $300; JCC Member Cost: $240
