There's nothing better than a great book to transport you to new worlds—whether real, imagined, or simply as a much-needed escape from reality. This monthly book group, led by staff at Hummingbird Books, will feature a variety of genres guaranteed to spark lively conversation and connection. If you don’t have a chance to finish the book, that’s okay, come anyway! 

Books can be purchased at Hummingbird Books in Chestnut Hill (or over the phone a 617-487-5101). Hummingbird Books is an independent, local female-owned and operated store with an extensive collection of adult and children’s books.

July Book Selection: Strangers by Belle Burden

In March 2020, Belle Burden was living a quiet, secure life with her family on Martha’s Vineyard when her husband of twenty years abruptly left her without explanation. Overnight, the man she knew became a stranger. In Strangers, Burden revisits her marriage, searching for signs she missed while confronting the expectations that shaped her response to betrayal.
