Join us for a delicious adventure where stories come to life! In this class, preschoolers will enjoy a favorite children’s book each week and then create a themed recipe inspired by the story, blending literacy, creativity, and hands-on learning.
Through cooking and baking activities, children will build early literacy and vocabulary skills while developing fine motor abilities, exploring early math and science concepts, and engaging in sensory-rich STEAM experiences. They will also strengthen social-emotional skills by following directions, taking turns, working cooperatively, and gaining confidence through age-appropriate kitchen responsibilities.
Along the way, children will be introduced to healthy foods and nutrition while discovering the joy of trying new ingredients.
Each class includes story time, a themed cooking activity, and a recipe to take home, leaving little chefs with new skills, favorite books, and a lasting love of learning through reading and cooking.
ELC children will be escorted to and from their classroom by ELC staff to enjoy their enrichment class.
