Campers have instructional swim one period each day, using Red Cross guidelines. Most campers also have free swim for another period, four to five days per week.
Each child is tested on their first day of camp and then placed in a group that best matches their swim ability. Instructional groups are small, ranging from three to nine campers, and are taught by our American Red Cross certified instructors.
Our instructors have experience teaching swimmers of all levels, from a child who is just getting comfortable in the water to a child perfecting their strokes. Most campers make progress in swimming if they attend camp for at least three to four weeks.
