Swimming at Camp Grossman takes place outside in the beautiful Powissett Pond. Campers have instructional and free swim daily, weather permitting. Camp Grossman uses a modified Red Cross swimming curriculum taught by American Red Cross-certified lifeguards. Grossman waterfront staff members are trained to teach swimmers of all levels and abilities.
At Camp Grossman, your camper will be placed in a swim group that is appropriate to the skills demonstrated during their first week of camp. It is important to note that these groupings are flexible and often change as we see swimmers develop. Each swim level contains many skills, thus campers frequently make the most progress when attending camp for at least two consecutive sessions (four weeks).
The Grossman waterfront staff will communicate with families during each camper’s full session/s. If you have further questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
