Join Endocrinologist Dr. Harold Rosen for an informative, in-person discussion designed to help you better understand osteoporosis and make informed decisions about your bone health. Whether you've recently been diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis, are taking medication, or simply want to learn more about protecting your bones, this session will provide practical, evidence-based information.

Topics will include:

  • How osteoporosis medications work, when they are recommended, and how to weigh their benefits and potential side effects.
  • Understanding bone density (DEXA) results, including why you may have osteopenia in one area and osteoporosis in another, and why T-scores can differ between the hip, spine, and other bones.
  • The role of calcium and vitamin D, including how these nutrients are absorbed and utilized by the body.

Questions are welcome! This is an excellent opportunity to gain a better understanding of osteoporosis, bone health, and the topics that matter most to you.

This IN-PERSON event is FREE, but registration is required.

Offered in collaboration with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) & Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Needham
