Mark the conclusion of Passover with an afternoon celebrating one of New York City’s most storied culinary institutions. Join Niki Russ Federman and Josh Russ Tupper, authors and fourth-generation owners of Russ & Daughters, for a conversation about their acclaimed new cookbook, which chronicles both the recipes and the remarkable nearly 100-year history of their family business.
Blending beloved classics with personal stories, the book offers an intimate look at how Russ & Daughters helped shape Jewish food culture in America. From latkes and matzo ball soup to babka and bagels, these iconic dishes tell a larger story of family, immigration, and endurance.
Following the program, guests are invited to remain for a tasting of Russ & Daughters’ tastiest and most beloved treats, a delicious way to close Passover and honor a true New York institution.
This conversation will be moderated by Rachel Leah Blumenthal, food editor at Boston Magazine. Rachel has covered the Boston restaurant scene for nearly 20 years. Previously, she was the editor of Eater Boston.
Books will be available for purchase and signing. Tickets: $10 for members, $15 for non-members.
