Georgia O’Keeffe is most famous for her oversized, magnified flower paintings created between the mid-1920s and 1950s. Inspired by modernist photography, she zoomed in so close that petals extended beyond the canvas edges, turning botanical subjects into abstract designs that forced viewers to truly "take time to look." Join us as we explore O’Keeffe’s unique flower paintings and use what we discover as inspiration to create an artwork of your own. This is not a traditional studio art class, but rather a welcoming social experience designed to spark creativity and help you see flowers and art in a new way. No drawing or painting experience is necessary.
