Shirah is a skilled Hebrew speaker and experienced teacher, having previously served as a teaching fellow in Israel and a leader at Jewish summer camps. Since 2019, she has been working at the JCC where she has taught virtual STEM classes and engaged with hundreds of our JCC families through children’s classes, JCC birthday parties, vacation day programs, and Discovery Club After School.

Liane is a seasoned professional with over ten years of experience working with elementary-aged children in out-of-school settings prior to her arrival at the JCC in 2014. She is an integral part of the JCC Greater Boston team, where she creates and facilitates engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for students at Discovery Club. Her areas of focus include enrichment, academic support, physical, and social-emotional development. Liane is deeply committed to fostering a warm and nurturing community of students, parents, and teachers.

Leslie brings a wealth of experience to her role as the director of Camp Grossman. She first joined the camp in 2007 as a unit head, later assuming the role of specialist supervisor. In 2011, Leslie joined the JCC year-round team as the coordinator — and then director — of special events and recruiting for JCC camps. Leslie was appointed director of Camp Grossman in 2019.

Prior to her career in camps, Leslie was a criminal defense trial attorney with The Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn. She holds a bachelor’s in politics from Mt. Holyoke College, and studied law at Boston College.

Indira has an extensive background in early childhood. She joined the Brookline/Brighton JCC Early Learning Center in 1997, and assumed the role of supervising director in 2011, where she was responsible for program quality and content across all JCC Early Learning Center locations. In 2014, she was appointed director of early learning center operations, and now serves as assistant vice president of early childhood education at JCC Greater Boston.

Indira actively participates in the Greater Boston Director’s Council of Early Childhood Jewish Educators and is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in early childhood education from Lesley University. Her knowledge, experience, and dedication make her an invaluable asset to JCC Greater Boston’s early learning centers.

At the helm of Camp Kaleidoscope since 2009, Betty brings decades of experience in education, the arts, and camps since the nineties. She has a diverse background, including teaching middle school theater, directing arts camps and theater programs, serving as interim executive director of the Performing Arts Center of MetroWest, producing concert series and festivals, and supervising student teachers at Simmons College. Additionally, Betty has a background in professional storytelling, with a focus on Jewish tales of tradition and wisdom. She holds a teaching license, a bachelor’s in theater from Northwestern University, and a master’s in theater education from NYU.
