Learn how what you eat and how you move can make a difference in brain health and overall wellbeing. In this session, nursing students from UMASS Boston will discuss the benefits of regular physical activity, including tai chi, walking, and dancing, and how exercise can improve balance, flexibility, and mood. You’ll also explore nutrition strategies that support brain function, such as staying hydrated, eating antioxidant-rich foods, and timing meals with medications.

To bring these ideas to life, participants will join in a short seated stretching or balance exercise and explore an example of a brain-healthy meal plan, offering practical tools to support both body and mind.

This IN-PERSON event is FREE offered in collaboration with UMASS Boston College of Nursing & Health Science in honor of Parkinson's Awareness Month, celebrating movement & exercise.

This program is for general educational purposes only. The presenters are nursing students and are not able to provide personal medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. For questions about your own health, we encourage you to consult your healthcare provider.
