Allison Hitchings
Special Needs Director

Allison found Camp Grossman 7 years ago while searching for a temporary summer job and has never looked back. In her “real life,” Allison is a special education teacher and inclusion facilitator in Newton, Massachusetts and has a background working with children with severe social, emotional, and behavioral needs. She believes that all children deserve an opportunity to experience the magic of an inclusive, accessible summer camp where they can take a break from the demands of the school year and just be themselves. She works to foster a culture where each child is celebrated for their unique strengths and has access to the supports they need to thrive, gain independence, and build their self-esteem. In her free time, Allison loves to hike, kayak, and spend time in Maine with her family.
