Learn the basics in oil or pastel painting. We will cover the handling of your chosen medium, composition, selecting paint, and progress to the finish. Explore color mixing and application within your chosen medium, working with the scale of values in black & white and color. We will discuss drawing in relationship to painting. Bring photos you like to paint, a pencil, and sketchbook to first class. If painted before, bring your supplies for your chosen medium and we will guide you to further your skills in all areas.
