In honor of Parkinson’s Awareness Month, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) will host a live online screening of Boys of Summer: Third Base in collaboration with JCC Greater Boston. This award-winning documentary is set to premiere at the World Parkinson’s Congress in May 2026.

Boys of Summer began as a father-son road trip to all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums following a Parkinson’s diagnosis, and evolved into a deeply human exploration of family, illness, resilience, and love that illuminates the often-overlooked emotional and psychosocial dimensions of Parkinson’s.

Dr. Cochrane, Boys of Summer series creator, will join us to discuss the film. Dr. Cochrane is nationally recognized for his work in improvisation and storytelling, having received grants from both the Parkinson’s and Davis Phinney Foundations.
