Mark Kalinich, M.D., Ph.D. is a physician, scientist, and entrepreneur working at the intersection of psychiatry, data science, and translational medicine. As the associate director of the digital psychiatry division at BIDMC, he works on how to safely deploy generative artificial intelligence to improve how we detect, monitor, and treat mental illness. He received his MD and PhD from the Harvard-MIT Combined MD/PhD program, and previously co-founded Watershed Bio, a multi-omics platform for accelerating drug discovery.
