Join us on the JCC’s outdoor tennis courts for youth tennis clinics serving children ages 8-14.
Led by JCC Tennis Director and Boston College Assistant Women's Coach, Doug Maynard, each week-long clinic will provide instruction and play within a progressive format using red, orange, green, and yellow balls designed for different ages and abilities.

Tennis professionals coach students through drills, games and match play, emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork and skills enhancement.
Students will receive technical instruction along with coach-fed drilling and play with one another. Clinics will have a 4:1 ratio and will practice the appropriate safety guidelines for tennis, as well as other off-court instituted and required safety protocols. - Clinics are separated by age group and will run in 10 separate week-long sessions meeting Monday through Friday.
- Students must provide their own racquet and water, as there will be no shared equipment.
- No food will be provided, a peanut-free snack is welcomed.
- Refunds will be issued due to cancelled sessions.
- Weekly Sessions run from June 21 through August 27.

To pay in full, please click the register button at the top of the page. If you would like to reserve a spot for your child with a $100 deposit, contact email@example.com. Remaining balance will be withdrawn on May 1. Those who register on or after May 1 will pay in full upon registration.
Cancellations at least two weeks in advance to your clinic start date will receive a full refund. Cancellations less than two weeks of your clinic start date will receive a $75 administrative fee.
Doug Maynard is in his ninth year as Tennis Director at JCC Greater Boston. He is a United States Professional Tennis Association Elite Professional with over thirty years of teaching and coaching experience at the professional, collegiate, interscholastic and club/resort level in North Carolina, Florida and Massachusetts. Previous Tennis Director positions have included The Tennis Club of Palm Beach, Omni Grove Park Inn Resort in Asheville, NC, and the Levine Jewish Community Center in Charlotte, NC. Currently, he is the Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach at Boston College.
Maynard has trained and coached national junior champions, touring pros in the world’s top 25, and is a former NCAA Big South Conference Coach of the Year. Many junior students have gone on to play at numerous NCAA Division I, II, and III universities including Auburn, Arizona, Clemson, UNC, Virginia, Ohio State, and Wake Forest.
As a player, he is a former North Carolina and Southern Junior Champion and ranked in the top 15 in USTA National Rankings. Doug played collegiately at Ole Miss and the University of North Carolina Asheville, where he was ranked in the nation’s top 15.
