Betty Lehrman has been involved in education, camping and the arts for more than 30 years. She has directed Kaleidoscope since 2009. She has taught middle school theater and directed arts camps and theatre programs for children throughout Greater Boston. She served as interim Executive Director of the Performing Arts Center of MetroWest (PAC); produced concert series and festivals; and taught students from kindergarten through graduate school, including supervising student teachers through Simmons College. Prior to directing Kaleidoscope, Betty was known to Jewish audiences as a professional storyteller, specializing in Jewish tales of tradition and wisdom. She received her teaching license and a BS in Theater from Northwestern University, and a Master’s degree in Theater Education from New York University.
Taaron Pitino has extensive experience in teaching, therapy and management. She has been with Camp Kaleidoscope since 2011 and served as Assistant Director since 2012. Taaron was the lead teacher in both integrated and special needs pre-school classrooms and worked in private practice as a Greenspan Developmental Therapist, as well as working in retail management. She has degrees from Boston University in English and Jewish studies (BA), and in education and special education (Master’s). Taaron is responsible for registration; camper evaluation; transportation; parent forms; supplies and much more.
