Leah Douty
Camp Thrive Director

Leah Douty joined the JCC of Greater Boston in June of 2018. Leah became the Camp Director for Camp Thrive in the summer of 2019. Before starting at JCC Greater Boston, Leah attended UMass Dartmouth where she got her degree in Business Marketing. Where she played Basketball and Lacrosse at the collegiate level. She is also the Health and Wellness Program Coordinator and a Personal Trainer in the George Schultz Fitness Center. Leah loves working with children and adults and has a passion for building relationships within the JCC Greater Boston community.

Doug Maynard
Tennis Director

Doug Maynard is in his ninth year as Tennis Director at JCC Greater Boston. He is a United States Professional Tennis Association Elite Professional with over thirty years of teaching and coaching experience at the professional, collegiate, interscholastic and club/resort level in North Carolina, Florida and Massachusetts. Currently, he is the Women's Tennis Assistant Coach at Boston College.

Previous Tennis Director positions have included The Tennis Club of Palm Beach, Omni Grove Park Inn Resort in Asheville, NC, and the Levine Jewish Community Center in Charlotte, NC. Maynard has trained and coached national junior champions, touring pros in the world’s top 25, and is a former NCAA Big South Conference Coach of the Year. Many junior students have gone on to play at numerous NCAA Division I, II, and III universities including Auburn, Arizona, Clemson, UNC, Virginia, Ohio State, and Wake Forest.

As a player he is a former North Carolina and Southern Junior Champion and ranked in the top 15 in USTA National Rankings. Doug played collegiately at Ole Miss and the University of North Carolina Asheville, where he was ranked in the nation’s top 15.

Lauren Gale
Lauren Gale
Karishim Swim Club Head Coach

A graduate of Bridgewater State University, Lauren has been swimming for as long as she can remember. At Bridgewater State, Lauren taught the Swim for America program and was head lifeguard and captain of the swim team for three years. More recently, she coached swimming at the South Shore YMCA. Lauren has a degree in Nutrition and Wellness and is particularly interested in the connection between a healthy lifestyle and positive long-term outcomes for children.
