The Kaleidoscope day is an active one—full of fun activities and friends!
See all of the fun that campers have during the week.
(Grades K-1) build strong relationships as they move together through daily activities. There are six activity periods each day, with plenty of time for free play after lunch.
(Grades 2-3) attend classes and activities with bunk groups, and can choose one elective daily. Electives may include cooking, sports, boating and art or science workshops.
(Grades 4-8) choose their individual schedules every two weeks. They move independently through the Leventhal-Sidman JCC. The Upper Camp musical rehearses all morning, every day, and is open to all campers attending a full four-week session.
(Grades 9-11) spend approximately half the day helping around camp, and half the day pursuing their own interests. They choose up to three electives per day, including swim. CITs attend weekly meetings and workshops and plan all-camp activities.
All campers swim daily, weather permitting. Lessons are offered twice a week through the JCC Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy. Campers in grades 6-8 have the option of advanced lessons with JCC Karishim Swim Team coaches, can participate in LKSA lessons, or choose free swim only.
