Meet Our Educational Leaders
Becca has been with the JCC ELC for twelve years. She began her journey as a preschool teacher and moved into administration in 2014. She has had the role of Administrate Assistant, Office Manager and Assistant Director before becoming the Director in August of 2021. Becca has a strong background in Early Childhood Education and she holds a BS in Philosophy and a minor in Sociology from Northeastern University. She recently completed a three year fellowship with the JCCA Sheva Center Leadership Institute for Early Childhood Professionals, which focuses on early childhood educators who are ready to assume increased responsibilities and leadership in early care and education at the JCCs.
Katie has been with the JCC for five years as a preschool teacher. Katie has a BA from College of Wooster, where she majored in English with a minor in Education. She also has a master’s degree from Wheelock College in Child and Family Services. Prior to joining the JCC, Katie spent nine years working at the Devotion School in Brookline. She worked in the school, as well as for the after-school program where she was the assistant director. She has more than 15 years of experience working with families and children. Katie enjoys playing field hockey, running, traveling, volunteering and spending time with family and friends.
Indira joined us as the Director of the JCC ELC, Brookline/Brighton in 1997. She became Supervising Director in 2011 and continued to oversee all phases of school operations at the Brookline/Brighton site, while also assuming responsibility for program quality and content across all ELC locations. In 2014, Indira was promoted to Director, Early Learning Center Operations. In her current role as Assistant Vice President, she oversees operations of all JCC Early Learning Centers.
Indira participates in the Greater Boston Director’s Council of Early Childhood Jewish Educators and is an active member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). She holds BA and MS degrees in Early Childhood Education from Lesley University and has more than 30 years of experience in the field.
