Showstoppers, where everyone gets a chance to shine!
Cast members in grades 2-9 work with experienced theater professionals to produce a full-scale, one-hour musical. The final performances in the Riemer-Goldstein Theater at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC are open to family, friends and the general public. Supportive and professional staff guide the cast as they develop their talents in singing, dancing and acting. Cast members work together to create a magical show for the whole community to enjoy. Along the way, they build confidence, acquire performance skills, and develop deep friendships.

Be A Star!
This winter, join us on a fantastic musical adventure with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the story of an amazing car that flies through the air and sails the seas. Based on the beloved 1968 film version of the children's book by Ian Fleming, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang features a terrific score by Richard and Robert Sherman, composers of Mary Poppins.
Eccentric inventor Caractacus Potts attempts to restore an old race car with the help of his children, Jeremy and Jemima. They soon discover the car has magical properties. Enter the evil Baron Bomburst, who wants the car for himself. Lovable characters Truly Scrumptious and the quirky Grandpa Potts join the family to outwit the dastardly Baron, the Baroness, and their henchman.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a fun-filled adventure for the whole family. The large cast and opportunities for true stage magic make this a highly rewarding show.

Important Dates
- Auditions will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2-5pm
- Rehearsals will be held on Sunday afternoons, 2-4pm
- There is no rehearsal on February 16, April 12 or April 19
- Mandatory tech rehearsals on April 27-30 from 5:30-8:30pm
- Performances on Sunday, May 3, 2pm and 6pm.
Please note: Cast members must be available for ALL rehearsals. Some cast members will be called until 5pm for some rehearsals. Parents will be notified in advance of specific rehearsal schedules.

Join Us This Summer At Showstoppers Camp!
Campers entering grades K-3 and 4-8 sing, dance and act under the guidance of dedicated camp counselors and theater professionals.
Swimming and outdoor play complete the days. The session culminates in a musical revue featuring scenes and songs. Family and friends are invited to enjoy the show.
