Tu B'Shevat, the Jewish Birthday of the Trees is often celebrated by eating fruits and trying new foods. Hear a story about Tu B'Shevat and then meet Shulie Madnick, from the Bene Israel Indian Jewish Community. Shulie will tell us what the prophet Elijah has to do with Tu B'Shevat, and how to make Malida, a food offering for Elijah, made with no-cook sweetened rice flakes, cardamom, coconut and fruits.

Cost: $10/family, registration required

Instructions on how to make a flower garland from household recyclables to wear for the occasion, a 6-ingredient shopping list, and a zoom link will be provided after registration.
