Let's hack the Minecraft source code together, and make the game we love do what we want with the power of programming. Using cutting edge educational software, students will learn the basics of programming through interactive challenges in Minecraft.

Students will write code in real Python syntax, which will allow them to create Minecraft blocks, entities and more. They will use the logic of programming to solve puzzles, build structures and create art in their own Minecraft world. Students will be given 24/7 access to a full Minecraft Education account until November 1st. With it, they can explore many other amazing educational opportunities through the tool on their own time, from History to Math to Science, all in a Minecraft world! For each lesson, Lucas will walk students through new commands/syntax. Students will then be asked to use their new tools to either solve a problem or explore their creativity.

A private Zoom link and additional information will be sent in advance of class. Prorating is available for families who can only join us every other week because of hybrid school schedules.
