Join author, musician and storyteller Pierce Freelon for an immersive musical experience. Freelon and his band perform joyful music blending hip-hop, electronic jazz and soul. This live show features elements of Black history and archival voices to touch on imagination, arts, and science fiction. 

Freelon's modern and dynamic sound is inspired by his journey as a millennial dad. Through honest and playful lyrics, rich melodies and fresh beats, he shares his story and welcomes kids and adults to his world. 

The Magic School Bus

When the class gets lost on the way to the planetarium, Ms. Frizzle saves the day by blasting into outer space for an epic interplanetary field trip! But when rivalries both old and new threaten to tear the students apart, our young heroes must learn to pull together or risk getting forever lost in the solar system.

Hop on the Magic School Bus for a ride in this new musical adaptation based on the original book series published by Scholastic.

Dynamic Rockers

Join us for FOUNDATIONS - a fun, active, participating breakdance performance of the "here, then, and now" of Hip Hop. Follow us on a magical journey into Hip Hop's humble beginnings.

Dynamic Rockers is one of the foundational breaking crews in Hip Hop. A legacy passed down from father to son. Established in 1978 "The Original Glyde" passed the torch down to his son "Kid Glyde." Dynamic Rockers mission is "to change people's lives, one head spin at a time."

The Pout Pout Fish

Turn the poutiest of frowns upside down in this new musical featuring whimsical puppets and live performers in a sweeping oceanic adventure. When Mr. Fish sets out on a quest to find Miss Clam's missing pearl, he discovers there is more to him than his permanently plastered pout.

This colorful adaptation of The New York Times bestseller is co-conceived, directed, and designed by the acclaimed puppeteers of AchesonWalsh Studios, whose work was featured in Broadway's The King And I, On the Town, and Radio City's New York Spectacular.

Magic Ark performances are held on days when the kids have a break from school, providing a fun and exciting way to mix up your routine. Our shows are captivating and entertaining, so you can be sure that your child will be fully engaged during the show — and the rest of your family, too (parents and grandparents are known to have a blast)!

  • All adults and children attending a show are required to purchase a ticket.
  • Doors open 15 minutes before the start of a show.
  • Shows are held in the Riemer-Goldstein Theater at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC.
