What are the places, objects and people that are a source of connection? We will examine well-written, and at times humorous, narratives that center on personal connections: a friend, a restaurant, a relative, the woods, a jewelry box. We will embark on the task of identifying our own personal connections and crafting their stories. Resources for writing and editing personal narratives will be shared. This class is designed to foster a relaxed writing community, dedicated to supporting the writing process and providing opportunities to share completed pieces with one another. Whether you identify as a writer or simply wish to explore a new creative endeavor, we welcome you to join us! Class taught by Marianne Marks, who facilitates writing workshops for adults because the writing process has integrity, leads to rich conversations, and naturally builds a sense of community.
