Ilan Stavans is an award-winning cultural critic, linguist, translator, public speaker, editor, short-story writer, TV host, and New York Times best-selling author. His short stories have been adapted to screen (My Mexican Shivah), and stage.
Margaret E. Boyle is Director of Latin American, Caribbean and Latinx Studies at Bowdoin College, and Associate Professor in Hispanic Studies. Her primary interests include Hispanic women's literary and cultural history, theater history and performance, and health humanities, including medical, spiritual and food cultures.
