Discover how nutrition plays a key role in building and maintaining strong bones. In this engaging session, nursing students from UMass Boston will explore the importance of calcium, vitamin D, and protein for bone health, highlight foods rich in bone-building nutrients, and discuss when and how to take supplements safely. Participants will engage in a hands-on activity, creating a “Bone-Healthy Meal” plate or exploring food labels to identify calcium-rich choices, reinforcing practical ways to apply what they’ve learned for stronger, healthier bones.
This IN-PERSON event is FREE offered in collaboration with UMASS Boston College of Nursing & Health Science.
This program is for general educational purposes only. The presenters are nursing students and are not able to provide personal medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. For questions about your own health, we encourage you to consult your healthcare provider.
