Metrowest Adult Social Group - Special Needs Ages 25+ yrs - Spring

MetroWest, Start Date: 04/06/2014, End Date: 06/01/2014, Time: 5:00 PM-7:00 PM

(Ages: 25+ yrs) Join other adults with mild special needs for dining, mini-golf, movies and other leisure time activities. The group members decide their own activities with the assistance of advisors. Participants pay for community-based activities. Leaders: Lisa Dwinnells, Charlotte Ruskin

PJ Library Topsy Turvy Pajama Shabbat

Whitney Place Community Room, Friday, April 25, 2014 (5:30-7pm)

For families with children ages 0-5 years with adult
Enjoy the chance to celebrate a silly Shabbat with family and friends in your pajamas. Unwind after the work week and relax while we read Shabbat themed stories, sing songs and enjoy ‘breakfast for dinner’ such as bagels, cream cheese, cereal and more.

Please bring a new pair of pajamas to donate to the Pajama Program.

Metrowest Adult Activity Group - Special Needs Ages 25+ yrs - Spring

MetroWest, Start Date: 04/27/2014, End Date: 06/08/2014, Time: 4:00 PM-6:00 PM

(Ages: 25+ yrs) A group for adults with moderate special needs, offering a variety of activities desiigned to enhance social skills and independence within the community. Going out to dinner, bowling, art projects and baking are just a few of the activities the group will enjoy together. Participants pay for outside activities. Leaders: Cindy Campbell, Charlotte Ruskin.

Intended for interfaith couples and parents
Shabbat is meant to be different from the rest of the week. Start by unwinding from the week and welcome in Shabbat with an intimate and relaxing evening of great food and conversation at this celebrated restaurant.

No charge for 3 course dinner with vegetarian options.
Drinks not included; cash bar available.

Butterflies and Backyards - Metrowest Mitzvah Day with PJ Library

Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary (held indoors in case of rain), Sunday, May 18, 2014 (10-11:30am)

For families with children ages 3-6 yrs

Ever wonder about the Jewish Value of helping the environment? Even little hands can do a mitzvah (good deed) and take care of the earth right in our own backyard. Join us as we explore the sanctuary and learn about ‘backyard habitat’ and growing wild flowers to help feed butterflies.

Stories Under the Stars with Big Joe and PJ Library

Did you ever wonder how all those stars are in the sky? Big Joe the Storyteller knows. Join us for a picnic dinner, as we hear Big Joe tell stories in an outdoor park. Families provide their own picnic dinner; we provide dessert and stories.
