PJ Books and Blocks Drop-in Playgroup

In three locations!

In multiple locations, Tuesdays (11am-1pm) beginning Sept 8, Wednesdays (11am-1pm) beginning Sept 9, and Thursdays (9:30-11:30am) beginning Sept 10

Geared for ages 0-4 yrs, with adult
A great opportunity for young children up to age four to play in a safe and fun environment while adults can meet and connect. A light snack will be provided for the kids. Bring your own lunch and enjoy play time.

Metrowest Adult Activity Group - Inclusion and Support Services - Ages 25+ yrs - Fall 2015

Start Date: 09/20/2015, End Date: 12/13/2015, Time: 4:00 PM-6:00 PM

(Ages: 25+ yrs) A group for adults with moderate learning differences, offering a variety of activities designed to enhance social skills and independence within the community. Going out to dinner, bowling, art projects and baking are just a few of the activities the group will enjoy together. Participants pay for outside activities. Metrowest Adult Social Group - Inclusion and Support Services - Ages 25+ yrs - Fall 2015

Start Date: 09/20/2015, End Date: 12/06/2015, Time: 5:00 PM-7:00 PM

(Ages: 25+ yrs) Join other adults with mild learning differences for dining out, holiday shopping at the mall, movies and other leisure time activities. The group members decide their own activities with the assistance of advisors. Participants pay for community-based activities. Leaders: Jodi Willard, Lori Beecher

JFN Presents PJ Library Sukkot Celebration with MWJDS and Shillman House

Shillman House, Start Date: 09/27/2015, End Date: 09/27/2015, Time: 2:30 PM-4:00 PM

For Families with Children 2+ yrs Decorate a sukkah (booth) with Jewish Family Network and our friends at the MetroWest Jewish Day School and Shillman House. Sukkot is a joyful festival of giving thanks for the fall harvest and commemorates the Israelites forty years of wandering in the desert. A sukkah reminds us of the temporary shelters in which they dwelled during their travels. Together at this inter-generational event, we will decorate a community sukkah, sing songs, hear stories and share the festivities of this harvest holiday. Space is limited. Lucky Day Music Class with Stacey Peasley - Ages 0-4 years, with adult - Fall 15

Popular children’s entertainer Stacey Peasley is thrilled to combine her love of young children with her musical talents into a lively class that engages kids and creates fun sing-alongs. Using instruments and props, kids will move to music ranging from pop and rock to children’s favorites and Stacey originals. Free sneak peak class for curious families who have never taken Stacey’s class before on September 22. Call 508-879-3300 to inquire. Shabbat Shirah! – A Musical Shabbat with JFN

Geared for families with young children
Celebrate Shabbat with family and friends. Unwind after the work week with a musical Shabbat and relax while we read stories, sing songs and enjoy Shabbat dinner of pizza, pasta and salad together.

Flip Over Chanukah

For Families with Children ages 2-6 Back by popular demand! Create your own miracles at this Chanukah celebration where your kids will flip, jump and tumble through holiday-themed gym activities. Traditionally the 8th day of Chanukah is celebrated as a night of Tzedakah, or night of giving. Let us celebrate together and help those in need by bringing in non-perishable food items to be donated to the Lucy and Joe Press Food Pantry which provides food to frail elders and families in need in our community. Chanukah songs, crafts and snacks included. Limited Space – please register early! Cost: $20/family; Walk-ins: Additional $5. Please register by December 9.
