Weekly Playtime Meetup

Join JFN every Monday and Thursday morning for our FREE Playtime Meet-up. Kids can play in a safe, stimulating environment while adults socialize and relax with new friends and old. A light snack and drink will be provided for the kids. Choose one or come to all.

Paddle into the New Year

with JFN and PJ Library

Cochituate Canoe and Kayak, Sunday, September 14, 2014 (10-11:30am)

For families with children 2-8 yrs
Paddle into the New Year with Jewish Family Network.  The high holidays are a time to be open to fresh starts, new friends and experiences.  Together, let’s welcome the New Year while canoeing and kayaking on Lake Cochituate.  We will celebrate with sweetness of the new year with challah, apples and honey.  Bring an optional picnic lunch so we can enjoy the park afterwards.

Metrowest Adult Social Group - Inclusion and Support Services - Ages 25+ yrs - Fall

(Ages: 25+ yrs) Join other adults with mild special needs for dining, mini-golf, movies and other leisure time activities. The group members decide their own activities with the assistance of advisors. Participants pay for community-based activities. Leaders: Jodi Willard, Charlotte Ruskin

Popular children’s entertainer Stacey Peasley is thrilled to combine her love of young children with her musical talents into a lively class that engages kids and creates fun sing-alongs. Metrowest Adult Activity Group - Inclusion and Support Services - Ages 25+ yrs - Fall

MetroWest, Start Date: 09/28/2014, End Date: 12/07/2014, Time: 4:00 PM-6:00 PM

(Ages: 25+ yrs) A group for adults with moderate special needs, offering a variety of activities desiigned to enhance social skills and independence within the community. Going out to dinner, bowling, art projects and baking are just a few of the activities the group will enjoy together. Participants pay for outside activities. PJ Library Harvest Shabbat!

Wondering when to start solid food?  Concerned you will have a picky eater?  Worried about food allergies?  Join Pediatric Nutritionist Joanne Csaplar for a hands-on demonstration and practical advice on nutrition during your child’s first year.  There will also be plenty of time to enjoy a bagel brunch and meet other local families.

Mom’s Night out at Palette’s

Palettes, Thursday, November 13, 2014 (7-9pm)

For adults only
Put the kids to bed and come enjoy a Mom’s Night Out at a paint party at Palettes. The studio provides all the supplies, and the instructors guide us step by step to create our masterpiece painting. Grab some friends, get out of the house, and tap into your inner artist.

PJ Library Storytime Brunch

For families with children 2-6 years
A reading and live dance performance featuring Gwendolyn, the Graceful Pig by David Rottenberg.

Gwendolyn longs to dance. Omar dreams of playing football. Author David Rottenberg's charming story about going after your dream comes alive through narration and a dance performance by the Impulse Dance Center. Children will be able to dance with the dancers, learn to throw a football, create a craft and enjoy refreshments courtesy of Whole Foods Market.
