Weekly Playtime Meet-up, Metrowest

The Children's Room at Jewish Family Service of Metrowest, Tuesdays ongoing 9:30-11am

Designed for children ages 0-4 years, with adult
A great opportunity for young children to play in a safe and fun environment while adults can meet and connect. A light snack will be provided for the kids. Metrowest Adult Activity Group - Special Needs Ages 25+ yrs - Winter

MetroWest, Start Date: 01/08/2012, End Date: 03/04/2012, Time: 4:00 PM-6:00 PM

A group for adults with moderate special needs, offering a variety of activities desiigned to enhance social skills and independence within the community. Going out to dinner, bowling, art projects and baking are just a few of the activities the group will enjoy together. Participants pay for outside activities. The group leaders are Cindy Campbell and Charlotte Ruskin.

Metrowest Adult Social Group - Special Needs Ages 25+ yrs - Winter

MetroWest, Start Date: 01/22/2012, End Date: 03/18/2012, Time: 5:00 PM-7:00 PM

Join other adults with mild special needs for dining, mini-golf, movies and other leisure time activities. The group members decide their own activities with the assistance of advisors. Participants pay for community-based activities. The group leaders are Lisa Dwinnells and Charlotte Ruskin.

Karen Spencer Dees is a Doctor of Holistic Nutrition and is often referred to by her patients as "The Family Nutritionist". Her expertise includes whole body nutrition, women's health, horomonal imbalance, children's nutrition and ADD/ADHD. She also specializes in holistic nutrition for pregnancy and baby's first "solid meals". Dr. Dees has published several books and articles, is actively engaged in research, and is a nationally recognized speaker in the field of holistic nutrition. Welcome Baby! Brunch, Metrowest

Bond with your baby and meet other families. Developmental Specialist Jill Vetstein will lead the group in songs and activities to engage even the youngest participant. Experience Summer in February

When the New England Aquarium visits the JCC Early Learning Center, Acton

JCC Early Learning Center, Acton, Sunday, February 12, 2012 2-3:30pm

Geared for families with children ages 1+ years
Even though it's cold outside, enjoy a taste of summer in Acton at the JCC Early Learning Center. Children will discover tidepool animals and learn about their body parts, mimic their behavior, and even dress up in a sea star costume. They will get the opportunity to touch and hold the live animals.  Parents will have the opportunity to tour the classrooms. The JCC Early Learning Center accepts children ages 15 months-5 years and offers a flexible schedule including full day and part day programs with full week or part week options. Puppet Purim Shpiel (play), Metrowest

Purim celebrates the courage to speak up, like Esther did when she foiled the plot of Haman. Come in costume for a fun and hilarious interactive puppet show! We'll sing and march in a costume parade, make Purim puppets, and eat hamantaschen (cookies). Co-sponsored with the MetroWest Jewish Day School.
