Tai Chi Continuing Level - Adults

Continuing Level The forms and techniques of Wudang Tai Chi incorporate movement with stillness. Internal and external movement work together to help build inner power and energy, develop the structural uscles, and increase balance, flexibility and effortless movement.

Personal Strength & Flexibility (Adv) - Adults

LSJCC, Start Date: 09/14/2016, End Date: 12/14/2016, Time: 6:00 AM-7:00 AM

(Beginner and Advanced Levels) A 60-minute class led by a personal trainer focusing on strength training and flexibility. Learn proper form for various exercises and why each exercise is important to your overall conditioning. Class includes strength training for upper and lower body, core work for abdominals, flexibility and stretching. Advanced Level

Personal Strength & Flexibility (Beg) - Adults

(Beginner and Advanced Levels) A 60-minute class led by a personal trainer focusing on strength training and flexibility. Learn proper form for various exercises and why each exercise is important to your overall conditioning. Intermediate Tennis - Adults

LSJCC, Start Date: 09/14/2016, End Date: 10/19/2016, Time: 9:30 AM-11:00 AM

This class is designed for individuals who have previous playing experience and are looking to improve in the fundamental areas of the game. Instruction in stroke technique will be tailored to individual and group abilities. Players will receive instruction and drilling that will help develop a skill set for more advanced play in singles and doubles. Doug Maynard

Tennis - Ages 7-9 yrs

LSJCC, Start Date: 09/14/2016, End Date: 10/19/2016, Time: 4:00 PM-5:00 PM

(Ages: 7-9 yrs) Children will learn tennis fundamentals on a fun, positive atmosphere. The progressive USTA 10 and Under Tennis format allows students to quickly learn, gain confidence, begin to rally and improve their tennis game. If inclement weather, classes will be held in gym. Doug Maynard

Men's Pilates - Adults

The integrative component of Pilates can be especially beneficial for men whose workouts often emphasize a part-by-part approach to muscular development. Increasing flexibility is a goal that this class addresses in a way that is relevant for men working toward functional fitness. Bonnie Lerner

Beginning Tennis - Adults

LSJCC, Start Date: 09/15/2016, End Date: 10/20/2016, Time: 9:30 AM-11:00 AM

This class is designed as an introduction to tennis for adults new to the game and those who have not played in quite some time. Modern fundamental technique will be taught at a pace appropriate for the ability of the individual and group. Participants will receive individualized technical help within the group setting. Pilates on the Ball - Adults

LSJCC, Start Date: 09/15/2016, End Date: 12/15/2016, Time: 10:45 AM-11:35 AM

A full body, intense workout that builds core strength, balance and coordination while increasing flexibility. Using large Swiss balls, bands, magic circles and weights, you will engage in a variety of demanding and fun movements based on Pilates and weight lifting exercises. Bonnie Lerner

Tennis - Aces - Ages 10-14 yrs

LSJCC, Start Date: 09/15/2016, End Date: 10/20/2016, Time: 4:00 PM-5:00 PM

(Ages: 10-14 yrs) Children will learn and develop tennis skills in a progressive instructional format structured for individual and group abilities. Students will work on stroke technique, movement, and rallying, and will gain an understanding of match play with drills and games. If inclement weather, classes will be held in gym. Doug Maynard

Tennis - Futures - 12-18 yrs

LSJCC, Start Date: 09/15/2016, End Date: 10/20/2016, Time: 5:00 PM-6:00 PM

(Ages: 12-18 yrs) This class is designed for advancing students who plan to play on school teams and compete in tournaments. Students will build and improve fundamental skills while developing stronger stroke production and footwork, along with overall knowledge of the game. Instruction, drilling and point play will be incorporated to help students improve. If inclement weather, classes will be held in gym. Doug Maynard
