JCC Kids' Choice - Grades K-5

Grades K-5 • 9am-4pm Whether it’s sports, arts, or social play, Kids’ Choice gives your child plenty of choices to enhance their summer camp experience. Recreational swim offered every day. Campers create their own schedule based on the activities that they love.

Super Soccer Stars Preschool Camp- Ages 3-4

LSJCC, Start Date: 08/29/2016, End Date: 09/02/2016, Time: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM

Preschool (ages 3-4) • 9am-12pm Young campers enjoy soccer games, exercise and fun in the sun. Super Soccer Stars coaches guide campers through engaging individual and group activities that teach soccer skills, build self-confidence and promote cooperation. (No diapers, please.) If you register online, please complete the Sports Camp Registration form (except for payment details), waiver/photo release and bus form if needed and send it to Ellen Greenblatt at 333 Nahanton St, Newton MA 02459 or fax to 617-965-7346.

Youth Tennis Camp - Grades 3-8

LSJCC, Start Date: 08/29/2016, End Date: 09/02/2016, Time: 10:00 AM-4:00 PM

Grades 3-8 • 10am-4pm Spend a week with USPTA Certified Tennis Professional Doug Maynard who will help each camper learn and improve their tennis game. Doug will lead campers through drills, games and match play, emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork and skills enhancement. Video analysis will be used to help each camper improve their stroke. In case of rain, modified drills and recreational games are played in the JCC gym. Camp includes recreational swim at the JCC Outdoor Pool.

Tai Chi (Wudang Style) Beginners - Adults

Beginners The forms and techniques of Wudang Tai Chi incorporate movement with stillness. Internal and external movement work together to help build inner power and energy, develop the structural uscles, and increase balance, flexibility and effortless movement.

(Beginner and Advanced Levels) A 60-minute class led by a personal trainer focusing on strength training and flexibility. Learn proper form for various exercises and why each exercise is important to your overall conditioning. Class includes strength training for upper and lower body, core work for abdominals, flexibility and stretching. Advanced Level

Intermediate Tennis - Adults

LSJCC, Start Date: 09/14/2016, End Date: 10/19/2016, Time: 9:30 AM-11:00 AM

This class is designed for individuals who have previous playing experience and are looking to improve in the fundamental areas of the game. Instruction in stroke technique will be tailored to individual and group abilities. Players will receive instruction and drilling that will help develop a skill set for more advanced play in singles and doubles. Doug Maynard

Tennis - Ages 7-9 yrs

LSJCC, Start Date: 09/14/2016, End Date: 10/19/2016, Time: 4:00 PM-5:00 PM

(Ages: 7-9 yrs) Children will learn tennis fundamentals on a fun, positive atmosphere. The progressive USTA 10 and Under Tennis format allows students to quickly learn, gain confidence, begin to rally and improve their tennis game. If inclement weather, classes will be held in gym. Doug Maynard

Men's Pilates - Adults

The integrative component of Pilates can be especially beneficial for men whose workouts often emphasize a part-by-part approach to muscular development. Increasing flexibility is a goal that this class addresses in a way that is relevant for men working toward functional fitness. Bonnie Lerner
