Welcome Baby! Meet-ups, Metro North

Panera Bread, First Wednesday of each month (year round) 11am-12:30pm

Designed for parents with babies ages 0-1 year
Meet other parents with babies, and enjoy a cup of coffee in a relaxed setting the first Wednesday of each month. Staff from the JCC and Jewish Family & Children's Services of Greater Boston will advise on area resources and upcoming programs. For more information, contact metronorth@jccgb.org or 617-841-8009.

Directions to each location
Hodgkins-Curtin Park ~ Somerville (Davis Square)
This playground is located on Holland Street at Simpson Avenue and Paulina Street. There is two hour parking on Holland Street near the playground and a municipal parking lot on Holland Street at Buena Vista Road that takes credit card. The Park is a 5 minute walk from the Davis T Stop on the red line.
 
Whittemore Robbins Playground ~ Arlington
This playground is located behind the Robbins Library and the Whittemore Robbins House. There is a small parking lot beyond the library’s lot, with additional parking spots available on Mass. Ave. The #77 bus runs along Mass. Ave.
 
Rev. William Playground ~ Cambridge
This playground is located between Massachusetts Ave. and Rindge Avenue, on the cross streets of Dudley and Cedar in the North Cambridge area. There are parking meters on Mass. Ave. The nearest public transit is the #77 bus along Mass. Ave. to Dudley Street.

Shabbat in the Park

Celebrate Shabbat (welcoming the Sabbath) with an outdoor picnic in a relaxed setting with family and friends. Stay for the Framingham Concert on the Green. Families provide their own picnic meal.

JCC Day at Grossman

Spend the afternoon at camp with your family! Enjoy a range of activities including: waterfront (beach, swimming, boating, water trampoline, water slide, fishing and more), sports (newcomb, gaga, basketball, street hockey, capture the flag and more), arts and crafts and the rock climbing wall. Happiest Baby On The Block Workshop

Leventhal-Sidman JCC, Tuesday, August 19, 2014 (6:30-8pm)

For expectant and new parents with children ages 0-4 months
Discover soothing techniques to calm your crying or fussy baby and get longer stretches of sleep (for you and baby!) Based on methods developed by best-selling author and pediatrician Dr. Harvey Karp. The workshop follows a step-by-step approach to soothe and calm your baby including:

• The missing 4th trimester
• The calming reflex
• The 5 S's
• The cuddle cure

**Please bring your own baby doll or stuffed animal if you are not coming with your baby!**

Instructor: Melanie Venuti, IBCLC, RLC, CHBE
Melanie has been working in the maternal and child health field for many years beginning in pediatric nutrition where she developed a passion for breastfeeding support and parental education. Her focus is breastfeeding consultations, prenatal breastfeeding education, and family support. She is also a certified Happiest Baby on the Block educator, teaching the soothing techniques of Dr. Harvey Karp.

PJ Library Bagels and Books Drop-in Group

Join JFN every Monday and Thursday morning for our FREE Playtime Meet-up. Kids can play in a safe, stimulating environment while adults socialize and relax with new friends and old. A light snack and drink will be provided for the kids. Choose one or come to all.
