Metro North Playground Meet-Ups

Directions to each location

Hodgkins-Curtin Park - Somerville (Davis Square)
This playground is located on Holland Street at Simpson Avenue and Paulina Street. There is two hour parking on Holland Street near the playground and a municipal parking lot on Holland Street at Buena Vista Road that takes credit card. The Park is a 5 minute walk from the Davis T Stop on the red line. Look for the staff member with a blue shirt and/or yellow flag by the toddler slide near the baby swings.
 
Rev. William Playground - Cambridge
This playground is located between Massachusetts Ave. and Rindge Ave.,on the cross streets of Dudley and Cedar in the North Cambridge area. There are parking meters on Mass. Ave. The nearest public transit is the #77 bus along Mass. Ave. to Dudley Street. Look for the staff member with a blue shirt and/or yellow flag by the water park.
 
Whittemore Robbins Playground - Arlington
This playground is located behind the Robbins Library and the Whittemore Robbins House. There is a small parking lot beyond the library’s lot, with additional parking spots available on Mass. Ave. The #77 bus runs along Mass. Ave. Look for the staff member with a blue shirt and/or yellow flag by the play structure.

Metrowest Playground Meet-Ups

Local Playgrounds in Metrowest, Thursdays, June 18 - August 20, 2015 (10-11:30am)

For families with children 0-5 with adult
Join our weekly summer meetups. Make friends for you and your kids and beat the heat at these shady playgrounds. Snacks provided. Open to the entire community.

Look for the blue flag at all parks to find JFN at the playgrounds.  In case of inclement weather, meet at JFS Children’s Room, 475 Franklin Street, Framingham. Visit facebook.com/jewishfamilynetwork after 9am on Thursdays for weather updates.

As your baby becomes more confident in mobility and exploration, a variety of activity stations are intentionally designed to engage babies while developing fine and gross motor skills and greater sensory awareness. Discussions will center around safety proofing, outdoor play, sleep and nap transitions, finger feeding and solids. You are invited to a special Shabbat program at the Bernice B. Godine JCC Early Learning Center Center in Newton featuring Oneg Shemesh on Friday, August 7. Tour the preschool at 10am and then enjoy the entertainment of Oneg Shemesh at 10:30am on the playground. Special addition: Sifriyat Pijama B’America. Held rain or shine. Everyone welcome. No charge. Shabbat in the Park

Framingham Village Green, Friday, August 7, 2015 (5:30-7pm)

Geared for families with children ages 0-5 years
Pack a picnic dinner, a blanket and some chairs, and head over to the Framingham Village Green to welcome Shabbat with JFN! We will welcome the Sabbath with challah and grape juice before the Concert on the Green begins at 6:30 p.m. So come celebrate Shabbat, and then dance the night away with family and friends to the blue grass and country band, SLO Grass. Meet at the big blue flag

Bernice B. Godine JCC Early Learning Center Preschool Open House

Leventhal-Sidman JCC, Start Date: 08/13/2015, End Date: 08/13/2015, Time: 5:00 PM-6:00 PM

Geared for families with children ages 6 weeks-5 years
The Bernice B. Godine JCC Early Learning Center, Newton preschool at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton will hold open houses for parents of infants, toddlers and preschool age children on Thursday, May 14 (9-10am), Thursday, June 11 (5-6pm) and Thursday, July 16 (9-10am) and Thursday, August 13 (5-6pm).
 
Limited availability for fall 2015 school year for infants and children ages 2.8-3.5 years. At the open houses parents can meet the educators and the school’s director and tour the classrooms.
 
Operated by the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston, the school accepts children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Options include flexible hours and days with full week or part week options, full year and school year programs, early drop-off and extended day, swim lessons and optional in-house enrichment classes.
 
The school is open to the entire community.
