Infant CPR and Safety

Come learn basic infant CPR and safety skills and how to care for an infant in various life threatening emergency situations. Choking, cardiac arrest, injury prevention strategies, safe sleep and how to access the emergency response and health care systems will be covered. This is not a certification course but is based on the American Heart Association Friends and Family Curriculum.

Handling and Avoiding Picky Eating Behaviors

“But she ate it yesterday!” Come learn strategies in an interactive workshop where you will learn about how to handle your child’s picky eating behaviors, how and when to set limits around eating, which “food fights” are worth the battle, and general nutritional needs of young children. This will include a food demo and there will be time for lots of questions and answers.

The Power of Positive Discipline

Come learn strategies to implement positive discipline with your toddler! In this interactive workshop you will discuss what challenges you are facing and you will learn specific tools to help your toddler learn how to internalize organizational strategies and self-regulate. The focus will also be on how toddlers learn about discipline; what temper tantrums are about; why schedules and sleep are so important and more!
