The Acton ELC curriculum is inspired by the Reggio Emilio Approach, an educational philosophy that honors children’s unique potential and capabilities. Interpreted through the lens of Jewish wisdom and values, the curriculum encourages community-building, collaboration and mutual respect.
This philosophy guides every aspect of the daily routine, from programming to community involvement. Consistent with the JCC Early Learning philosophy, we believe that social-emotional development is as important as cognitive development. Our team will nurture your child’s intellectual exploration and competencies—and at the same time help him or her to understand his or her emotions, label them, and express them safely and positively.
Acton is an exceptionally diverse Jewish early learning environment. We celebrate the fullness of living in a multicultural world while celebrating our heritage through songs, holidays and festivals, blessings, story, dance and exposure to Hebrew language. We are proudly Jewish; however, all are welcome at the Acton ELC.
