Rock-A-Baby Music Jam Spring Session One, South

Sharon Community Center, Fridays, April 26-June 7, 2013 9:30-10:15am

Designed for children ages 0-3 years, with adult
Your child has a chance to be "in the band" with Rock-A-Baby. With a trio of musicians, three zany puppets, dancing, instruments and music ranging from classical to jazz to children's songs to rock and roll, Rock-A-Baby gives your child a stimulating and educational musical experience. Super Soccer Stars - Fall

(Ages: 5-7 yrs) Dynamic international coaches work with children to improve their skills and develop self-confidence and teamwork in a fun, non-competitive environment. Engaging warm-ups, activities and games, along with positive reinforcement and a low child-to-coach ratio ensure that each child will improve his/her soccer skills. Fun and Games - Special Needs Ages 3-7 yrs - Spring

BAMSI Early Intervention, Start Date: 04/28/2013, End Date: 06/16/2013, Time: 11:30 AM-12:15 PM

A program designed to help children learn skills related to playing games and interacting with others. Geared to the needs of boys and girls with attention issues or mild developmental concerns who may benefit from a small class size. This class is taught by Jason Mitchell, Emily Quinlan, and Meaghan Kearney.

Tikvah Jewish Social Group - Special Needs Ages 31-60 yrs - Spring

ELC Brookline, Start Date: 04/28/2013, End Date: 06/09/2013, Time: 12:00 PM-5:00 PM

A program for adults with mild/moderate special needs, focusing on enhancing social and community skills and celebrating Jewish holidays. Activities include outings to museums, parks, the beach and concerts. Meetings are held at the JCC Early Learning Center in Brookline and in the community. Participants pay for outside activities. The group leaders are Frank McManus and Rebecca Brigham.

LEGO Engineering - Ages 6-8 yrs - Spring

(Ages: 8-11 yrs) LEGO swing rides, golf-putters and swamp boats are just a few of the awesome projects for students to build while learning the principles of construction and engineering. After building, students will modify their creations and motorize devices with hand-powered generators or direct drives. Students receive a digital slide show of projects. Instructors: Enpow Learning (formerly Children's Technology Workshop)

Robotics - Ages 8-12 yrs - Spring

LSJCC, Start Date: 04/28/2013, End Date: 06/09/2013, Time: 3:30 PM-5:30 PM

(Ages: 8-12 yrs) LEGO MINDSTORMS will be used in the construction of motorized programmed devices ranging from pneumatic claws to motorcycles. During construction children will learn about proper design and application of structrual elements. Once built, projects are motorized and programmed on a computer. Students will receive a digital slide show of their projects. Instructor: Enpow Learning (formerly Children's Technology Workshop)

Metrowest Adult Social Group - Special Needs Ages 25+ yrs - Spring

MetroWest, Start Date: 04/28/2013, End Date: 06/09/2013, Time: 5:00 PM-7:00 PM

Join other adults with mild special needs for dining, mini-golf, movies and other leisure time activities. The group members decide their own activities with the assistance of advisors. Participants pay for community-based activities. The group leaders are Lisa Dwinnells and Charlotte Ruskin.

Stroller Walk, South

French Memories (meeting location), Tuesdays, May 7-June 25, 2013 11am

Designed for children ages 0-2 years in stroller, with adult
Connect with other parents while getting fit and feeling good on a weekly springtime stroll with your baby. In case of inclement weather, call 781-795-0510 by 9am for program updates.
