Aerial Arts - Ages 8-12 yrs - Spring

Dance Jam - Special Needs Ages 7-10 yrs - Spring

LSJCC, Start Date: 04/04/2013, End Date: 06/13/2013, Time: 4:30 PM-5:30 PM

(Ages: 7 - 10 yrs) A dance and movement class that will provide body awareness exercises while exploring a variety of movement styles. Using improvisational dance the students will learn the joy of moving to music while improving such skills as social interaction, endurance and flexibility. This class is taught by a board-certified dance/movement therapist. Instructor: Nancy Krieger

Just Dance for Girls - Special Needs Ages 11-16 yrs - Spring

LSJCC, Start Date: 04/04/2013, End Date: 06/13/2013, Time: 5:30 PM-6:30 PM

(Ages: 11-14 yrs) Dance and exercise just for girls Class begins with a yoga warm-up (breathing exercises and stretching). Body awareness and the joy of self-expression through dance will be emphasized as participants move to the music. Instructor is a board-certified dance/movement therapist. Intructor: Nancy Kreiger

Karate - Ages 5-10 yrs - Spring

Ages 5-10 yrs Sanchin Martial Arts is a derivative of Uechi Ryu Karate, a form of self-defense that develops total body awareness, confidence and self-control. The emphasis will be on learning stances, balance, blocks, strikes, kata and sparring techniques. For the last class, we’ll hold an open house for family and friends. Testing fees are not included in the class fees. Noah Lucia

Mini Sports for Children with Different Learning Styles - Special Needs Ages 7-9 yrs - Spring

LSJCC, Start Date: 04/08/2013, End Date: 06/10/2013, Time: 4:30 PM-5:30 PM

A program that uses games to help develop basic motor skills such as kicking, dribbling, throwing and catching while participants learn the importance of teamwork through cooperative play. The earlier session (4:30 to 5:30 pm) is for children ages 7, 8 and 9. The later session (5:30 to 6:30 pm) is for children ages 10, 11 and 12.This class is taught by Matthew Kuklentz, MS, CAGS.

Mini Sports for Children with Different Learning Styles - Special Needs Ages 10-12 yrs - Spring

(Ages: 6-8 yrs) Take the next step in basketball skills development. The first half of the class will focus on the rules of the game, ball handling, passing, shooting, and defense. The second half will be a controlled scrimmage. Peter Sylvester

Super Soccer Stars - Ages 5-7 yrs - Spring

(Ages: 5-7 yrs) Dynamic international coaches work with children to improve their skills and develop self-confidence and teamwork in a fun, non-competitive environment. Engaging warm-ups, activities and games, along with positive reinforcement and a low child-to-coach ratio ensure that each child will improve his/her soccer skills. Super Soccer Stars - Fall
