Waltham Community Farm, Sunday, June 2, 2013 10am-12pm Designed for families wtih young children Learn all about where our food comes from. Help with planting raised beds on the farm. Visit real beehives and learn how bees help make food and the honey we eat on Rosh Hashanah. Enjoy a farm-to-table snack in a solar powered kitchen and design a souvenir of your day on the farm. Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary, Sunday, June 2, 2013 12-1:30pm Designed for families with young children Winslow Farm is devoted to the rescue and care of animals. They do mitzvahs (good deeds) every day by taking good care of the animals that share our world. Take a guided tour of the farm, interact with the animals (geese, goats, donkeys, horses, llamas, pigs and more) and hear stories of how the animals came to be at Winslow Farm. Afterward, play on the enchanted playground. Please bring a can of cat food, a roll of paper towels, or birdseed to donate to the animal sanctuary. The grounds are stroller accessible.
